# Experiments and overview

> Reading list | Eterna Telehealth — The Eterna Telehealth reading list: Epitalon cell cultures, melatonin synthesis, mouse survival, Epithalamin follow-up and a broader review.

**Reading room**

The experiments and review discussed in this collection.

## An entry point

The [Epitalon review](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40141333/) ranges across proposed mechanisms and acknowledges limited physical and structural characterisation. I appreciate that admission. It gives the smaller experiments room to remain questions.

The list below includes the studies cited throughout Eterna Telehealth. The essay on [human follow-up](/human-follow-up) concerns Epithalamin, as the study itself does.

## Experiments by subject

For cell work, start with [telomerase-negative human fibroblasts](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12937682/), then [the normal and breast-cancer cell lines](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40908429/). The [rat pinealocyte culture study](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22816096/) concerns melatonin synthesis.

For whole-animal observations, there are [female Swiss-derived SHR mice](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/14501183/) and [a rat model of chemically induced colon carcinogenesis](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12049808/). The [elderly human cohort](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/14523363/) brings a different preparation and an observational comparison.
